Dothan Alabama Personal Injury and Accident Lawyer Settles Uninsured Motorist Case
Dothan Alabama Personal Injury and Accident Lawyer Aaron Gartlan of Gartlan Injury Law settled a claim without filing a lawsuit with Progressive Insurance Company on behalf of a good hard working Dale County Alabama mother and her two minor children that were injured in a car wreck with a four- wheeler through no fault of their own.
After the wreck, the woman was rushed to the local hospital emergency room and was suffering from pain and stiffness in her left leg, foot and ankle and a cold uncomfortable feeling in her knee. She received x-rays of her knee, tibia and fibula.
Her minor son was also taken to the local emergency room with leg pain and was given a pulse ox check. He was seen again in the emergency room about a month later complaining of pain in his hand, and x-rays were taken.
Her minor daughter was driven to the emergency room as well and treated for pain in her left elbow, forearm and wrist. X-rays were ordered, and the clinical impression was cervical sprain, with pain medication prescribed. She received treatment in the emergency room about a month later for pain in her wrist, which was x-rayed.
This was a traumatic event for this family, and to make matters worse, there was no available insurance coverage from the driver of the four-wheeler that caused the accident or the owner. Fortunately, the good hard working mother had uninsured motorist coverage and med-pay coverage with Progressive Insurance Company. Therefore, a claim on her med-pay benefits to pay all of the medical bills was filed, as well as a claim on her uninsured motorist coverage to compensate her minor children and her for pain, suffering and mental anguish related to the wreck.
When she came to see Aaron Gartlan and the Law Firm, she was not sure how much her case was worth or if she even had a case worth dealing with, since the injuries were minor compared to what could have been. However, Aaron Gartlan and the Law Firm were glad to take her case.
Again, the claim was settled with Progressive without filing suit. Aaron Gartlan and the Law Firm obtained all of the medical records and bills and made a demand on the insurance company which summarized the injuries and damages. Aaron Gartlan and the Law Firm also treated the case from the beginning as if they would file a lawsuit and take the case to trial, because each case is important. This resulted in a successful negotiated settlement with Progressive.
